TRQK shutdown

TRQK shut down. What to do with your export now

By Marc Aaron Jacobs · Updated

Download every airing video now, and keep the CSV. TRQK announced its shutdown on 20 August 2026 and closed ten days later. What it left composers was a CSV of their monitoring data and links to the airing videos, and those links were reported to expire after 90 days.

That timing is the problem. Societies take one to two years to distribute, so the statement that should pay an airing TRQK caught may not exist yet. If the video is gone by the time it arrives, so is your evidence that the airing happened.

What to do this week

  • •Download the videos, not just the links. Name each file with the air date, channel and cue title so it can be found later without the CSV.
  • •Keep the CSV export untouched, and save a copy somewhere other than your downloads folder.
  • •Note the statement period each airing should be paid on. That is when it becomes checkable.

When the statements arrive

Match each airing in the export against the statement that settles its period, cue by cue, on the society's work number. An airing with no matching payment on a settled statement is one to ask your society about. See how to file a royalty inquiry.

ONTRK reads the export for you. Drop the CSV next to a statement on the reconciliation page and point at its columns once; the mapping is remembered after that.

Replacing the detection

ONTRK reads statements today and its TV detection is coming soon. If you need detection this week, the TRQK alternative page covers your options.

Common questions

When did TRQK shut down?

TRQK announced its shutdown on 20 August 2026 and closed on 30 August 2026.

Do TRQK video evidence links expire?

Composers reported that the airing video links TRQK left behind expire after 90 days. Download the videos themselves rather than relying on the links.

Can I still use my TRQK export?

Yes. The CSV is still a record of what aired. Keep it and compare it against each statement once the period it covers has been distributed.
